Free sound buttons to play in the room or download · 15 sounds · 0.6–9.3 s · MP3 · CC0 · no signup

15 sound buttons in the order a quiz runs, 0.6–9.3 s each, as MP3 under CC0 with no sign-up: a fanfare to open, a countdown and a ticking clock while the players think, a correct answer, a wrong answer buzzer, a drum roll before the result, a winner, then applause, cheers or boos. Press one and it plays; press it again to stop. CC0 also covers a stream or a video of the show.

Press a button to play it, again to stop. Esc stops any sound.

Questions

What sounds does a game show need?

An opening fanfare, a countdown or clock while players think, a correct answer sound, a wrong answer buzzer, a drum roll before the result, a winner sound and crowd reactions. This board has each of them, in that order.

Can I use these sounds in a stream, a podcast or a quiz app?

Yes. They are CC0: use them in a stream, a podcast, a video or an app you sell, without credit.

Is there a buzzer for each team?

No, this board plays sounds for the host. For buzzers players press on their phones, use a buzzer app; the wrong answer buzzer here is the sound a host plays.

How do I play the sounds while I host?

Use the keyboard: 1 to 9 and 0, then Q to T, play the buttons in order, and Esc stops the sound.

More versions of each sound

Each button plays one sound from a page of several; open a page to pick another and download it.
