Sound roles

Ask for a sound by what it is for, not by how it sounds. Each role names an app or game event — button click, purchase success, error, level up, dialogue blip, rain loop — and maps to one default sound: the most typical take of the matching family, chosen by measured attack, tail and brightness, with alternates and the whole family one click away. 206 roles, CC0, permanent hotlink URLs, no signup.

Aliases are accepted everywhere a role is: button click, ka-ching and jump scare resolve to click, purchase-success and stinger. Need a whole kit instead of one event? See sound sets.

Agents: GET /api/v1/roles/{role} (optional ?style=crisp|soft|spacious|balanced) or the MCP tool get_role_sound return the default sound with alternates and measured acoustics; GET /api/v1/roles lists every role with its aliases. Where several families are listed, the first one with live sounds provides the default and the next one an extra alternate.
